MAGMMA MUSEUM – The collections

Villacidro 2 January 2018 – The new year brings an important novelty to the MAGMMA Museum. The news coincides with the start of the planning of the activities for 2018, already outlined in the previous months and which will be perfected in the next weeks and which we will report in one of the next articles. Andrea Ciresola winner of the 2017 Edition of the ROSSOPASSIONE Prize decided to donate the winning work, “Paesaggio con giostrina rossa”, to the MAGMMA Museum; the work becomes part of the museum’s collections and precisely in the 4th section dedicated to contemporary artists. A gesture that traces back the previous donations from the artists who participated in the Marchionni Prize editions; according to the intentions of the artist wants to be rewarded the professionalism of the MAGMMA Museum, and the attention reserved to the artists in all the organizational phases. The news has gratified the Artistic Direction which, together with the staff, has always carried out its work as a “duty”, dictated by the function of promotion and dissemination of contemporary art, elements that originated the MAGMMA project.
